Washburn Farm Nursery has been providing Alaska with quality plants since 1966.
From hardy shrubs and roses, perennials to small fruits, Washburn Farm Nursery has great plants at great prices. We invite you to look through the selection we have to offer on our website and place your order online! If you have questions feel free to contact us.
We do not sell fruit trees, but Dan Elliott sells many different Alaska hardy varieties of fruit trees, mainly apple. Elliott’s orchard is located at 950 E Fairview Loop; phone 376-5196.
Remember to fertilize your plants once each year in late April as the snow is melting. We use 8-32-16 fertilizer and use 1 teaspoon to 2 tablespoons for smaller trees and shrubs and 2-4 tablespoons for larger plants. All fruit plants need fertilizer; sprinkle it in your berry patches. Perennials need fertilizer too, but only a small amount. For perennials use 1 to 2 granules up to 1/4 teaspoon around each plant. Do not over fertilize.
